Onix Data Centre is pleased to share an update on its Tier 3 carrier neutral facility, located at the Almadies 2Africa Cable Landing Station in Dakar. Following the launch on 16 February, the final designs are ready to be submitted to the Uptime Institute for certification with an expected completion date in Q4, 2023.

Due to its location, the Onix Data Centre at the Almadies 2Africa CLS, becomes part of an exclusive list of facilities with direct access to multiple subsea cables and backhaul routes. This strategic location offers unparalleled carrier neutral connectivity for both local and international companies while avoiding cable challenges faced in Africa. The facility will extend connectivity solutions across the West Coast of Africa. For Senegal, the data centre will be a catalyst for unlocking digital services and economic growth.
